दंडस्तत्राभवद्वास्तौ गृहरोधोऽक्षदेवने । एको दोषाकरश्चंद्रः प्रियदोषाश्च कौशिकाः
daṃḍastatrābhavadvāstau gṛharodho'kṣadevane | eko doṣākaraścaṃdraḥ priyadoṣāśca kauśikāḥ
সেখানে ‘দোষ’ ছিল কেবল শব্দমাত্র—ঘরে দণ্ড ছিল শুধু বস্তু; ‘গৃহরোধ’ ঘটত কেবল পাশাখেলায়; রাত্রি-কারক ছিল একমাত্র চন্দ্র; আর পেঁচাই ছিল রাত্রিপ্রিয়।
