तदाकर्ण्य ततो रामः संभ्रमात्त्वरितो ययौ । दृष्ट्वा तां दुःखसंतप्तां स्वयं दुःखमवाप सः । उवाच वचनं रामः कृतांजलिपुटस्तदा
tadākarṇya tato rāmaḥ saṃbhramāttvarito yayau | dṛṣṭvā tāṃ duḥkhasaṃtaptāṃ svayaṃ duḥkhamavāpa saḥ | uvāca vacanaṃ rāmaḥ kṛtāṃjalipuṭastadā
এ কথা শুনে রাম ব্যাকুল হয়ে তৎক্ষণাৎ দ্রুত গেলেন। তাকে দুঃখে দগ্ধ দেখে তিনি নিজেও শোকে আচ্ছন্ন হলেন। তারপর রাম করজোড়ে শ্রদ্ধাভরে কথা বললেন।
