शोकात्केचिदुरो जघ्नुः शिरो जघ्नुश्च केचन । हा राजपुत्र हा तात क्वासि क्वासीति बभ्रमुः
śokātkeciduro jaghnuḥ śiro jaghnuśca kecana | hā rājaputra hā tāta kvāsi kvāsīti babhramuḥ
শোকে কেউ বুক চাপড়াতে লাগল, কেউ আবার মাথায় আঘাত করতে লাগল। ‘হায় রাজপুত্র! হায় প্রিয় সন্তান! তুমি কোথায়—কোথায়?’ বলে তারা ব্যাকুল হয়ে এদিক-ওদিক ঘুরে বেড়াল।
