विप्रा वेदविदः शांताः कृतिनः शंसितव्रताः । ज्ञानयज्ञतपोनिष्ठाः शिवभक्तिपरायणाः
viprā vedavidaḥ śāṃtāḥ kṛtinaḥ śaṃsitavratāḥ | jñānayajñataponiṣṭhāḥ śivabhaktiparāyaṇāḥ
তাঁরা ছিলেন ব্রাহ্মণ—বেদজ্ঞ, চিত্তে শান্ত, কৃতী ও ব্রতখ্যাত। জ্ঞান, যজ্ঞ ও তপস্যায় অবিচল, এবং শিবভক্তিতে সম্পূর্ণ পরায়ণ।
