Suta Goswami (narrating the prescribed procedure of Śiva-worship as taught in the Kailāsa tradition)
Tattva Level: pashu
Mantra: ॐ (प्रणव)
Offering: pushpa
It teaches that Śiva-pūjā is supported by inner and outer purification: sacred water (outer consecration) and the Praṇava Oṁ (inner alignment of consciousness toward Pati, Śiva).
The act of abhiṣeka with sanctified water is a core Saguna practice—honoring Śiva’s accessible form (often the Liṅga) while Oṁ steadies the mind toward Śiva’s transcendent reality beyond form.
Perform abhiṣeka using conch-water, then touch/wipe in a self-purificatory gesture while chanting Oṁ (Praṇava), treating the mantra as the meditative seal of the rite.
