Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
It teaches inward discernment: all experience and all categories of “things” are grounded in the one Reality upheld by Shiva, so liberation comes through inner contemplation (vicāra) rather than outward seeking.
The Linga is a sacred outer support that points to the inner truth—Shiva as the ground of all. This verse emphasizes moving from external supports (saguna worship) to direct inner recognition of Shiva’s presence within.
Practice inward meditation with steady inquiry while repeating the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), using worship as a support but returning the attention to the inner seat of Shiva rather than chasing external objects.
