Sukta 7.82
इन्द्रावरुणा युवमध्वराय नो विशे जनाय महि शर्म यच्छतम् । दीर्घप्रयज्युमति यो वनुष्यति वयं जयेम पृतनासु दूढ्यः ॥
índrāvaruṇā yuvám adhvarā́ya no viśé jánāya máhi śárma yacchatam | dīrgháprayajyum áti yó vanuṣyáti vayáṃ jayema pṛ́tanāsu dūḍhyàḥ ||
হে ইন্দ্র-বরুণ! তোমরা দু’জন আমাদের অধ্বর (যজ্ঞ) এর জন্য, আমাদের জন ও বিশ (সমাজ) এর জন্য, মহৎ শর্ম (শান্তি-রক্ষা) দান করো। যে দীর্ঘপ্রযজ্যু (দীর্ঘস্থায়ী প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী) আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে চেষ্টা করে, তাকে পরাভূত করে—তোমাদের ধারণশক্তিতে দৃঢ় হয়ে—আমরা যুদ্ধসমূহে জয়ী হই।
