Sukta 2.9
त्वं दूतस्त्वमु नः परस्पास्त्वं वस्य आ वृषभ प्रणेता । अग्ने तोकस्य नस्तने तनूनामप्रयुच्छन्दीद्यद्बोधि गोपाः ॥
tváṃ dūtás tvám u naḥ paraḥ-pā́s tváṃ vásya ā́ vṛṣabha pra-netā́ | ágne tokásya nas táne tanū́nām ápra-yucchan dī́dyad bodhi gopā́ḥ ||
তুমি দূত; তুমি আমাদের দূর-রক্ষক; তুমি শ্রেয়ের দিকে নিয়ে যাওয়া নেতা, হে বল-বৃষভ। হে অগ্নি, আমাদের সন্তানসন্ততি ও আমাদের সত্তার বিস্তারের জন্য—অপ্রযুচ্ছ, দীপ্তিমান—আমাদের মধ্যে গোপা হয়ে জাগো।
