प्र सु विश्वान्रक्षसो धक्ष्यग्ने भवा यज्ञानामभिशस्तिपावा । अथा वह सोमपतिं हरिभ्यामातिथ्यमस्मै चकृमा सुदाव्ने ॥
prá sú viśvā́n rákṣaso dhákṣy agne bhávā yajñā́nām abhiśastipā́vā | áthā vaha sómapatiṃ háribhyām ātíthyam asmai cakṛma sudā́vne ||
হে অগ্নি, সকল রক্ষস্—অন্ধকারের শক্তি—দগ্ধ করে দাও; যজ্ঞসমূহের জন্য অভিশস্তি (শত্রু-আক্রমণ) থেকে রক্ষাকারী পাৱক-শুদ্ধিকারী হও। তারপর হরিভ্যাম্—তোমার হরিত/তাম্র অশ্বদ্বয়—সহ সোমপতিকে নিয়ে এসো; সেই সুদাবন্ (উদার দাতা)-এর জন্য আমরা আতিথ্য—অর্পণের অতিথিসেবা—প্রস্তুত করেছি।
