ततस्ते राक्षसाः प्राप्ता बलिनो युद्धकाङ्क्षिणः।रक्षणार्थं तु देहस्य प्रतियुद्धा मया रणे।।।।
tatas te rākṣasāḥ prāptā balino yuddhakāṅkṣiṇaḥ |
rakṣaṇārthaṃ tu dehasya pratiyuddhā mayā raṇe ||
“তারপর সেই শক্তিশালী রাক্ষসরা যুদ্ধের আকাঙ্ক্ষায় এসে পড়ল; আমি কেবল নিজের দেহরক্ষার জন্যই রণে তাদের প্রতিযুদ্ধ করলাম।”
