अबलां मृगशाबाक्षीं वीक्षमाणां ततस्ततः।।।।बाष्पाम्बुपरिपूर्णेन कृष्णवक्राक्षिपक्ष्मणा।वदनेनाप्रसन्नेन निःश्वसन्तीं पुनः पुनः।।।।

Transliteration

abalāṃ mṛgaśābākṣīṃ vīkṣamāṇāṃ tatas tataḥ | bāṣpāmbuparipūrṇena kṛṣṇavakrākṣipakṣmaṇā | vadanenāprasannena niḥśvasantīṃ punaḥ punaḥ ||

Translation

অসহায়, হরিণশাবক-নয়না দেবীটি এদিক-ওদিক চেয়ে দেখছিল; কালো বাঁকা পাপড়ির নীচে তার চোখ অশ্রুজলে পূর্ণ, মুখে প্রসন্নতা নেই, আর সে বারবার দীর্ঘশ্বাস ফেলছিল।
