भरतागमनशङ्कानिवारणम् / Dispelling Suspicion about Bharata’s Arrival
Chitrakuta Encampment
व्रीलितं लक्ष्मणं दृष्ट्वा राघवः प्रत्युवाच ह।एष मन्ये महाबाहुरिहास्मान्द्रष्टुमागतः।।।।
vrīlitaṃ lakṣmaṇaṃ dṛṣṭvā rāghavaḥ pratyuvāca ha | eṣa manye mahābāhur ihāsmān draṣṭum āgataḥ ||
লক্ষ্মণের লজ্জা দেখে রাঘব বললেন—“আমি মনে করি, সেই মহাবাহু এখানে আমাদের দেখতে এসেছেন।”
Observing Lakshmana's abashment, Rama said I think the mighty-armed king Dasaratha has come to see all of us here.
Dharma as empathy and steadiness: Rāma responds gently to Lakṣmaṇa’s emotional state and frames the situation without harshness.
Rāma notices Lakṣmaṇa’s embarrassment and voices a reasoned guess that their royal elder has arrived to meet them.
Rāma’s composure and considerate speech—he reads Lakṣmaṇa’s feelings and answers calmly.
