लोकसमुत्पत्ति-वर्णनम् तथा इक्ष्वाकुवंश-प्रशंसा

कल्माषपादपुत्रोऽभूच्छङ्खणस्त्विति विश्रुतः।यस्तु तद्वीर्यमासाद्य सहसैन्यो व्यनीनशत्।।।।
kalmāṣapādaputro 'bhūc chaṅkhaṇas tv iti viśrutaḥ |
yas tu tad vīryam āsādya sahasainyo vyanīnaśat ||
কল্মাষপাদের পুত্র ‘শঙ্খণ’ নামে খ্যাত হল। যে-ই তার বীর্য্যের সম্মুখীন হত, সে সৈন্যসহ বিনষ্ট হয়ে যেত॥
