मार्कंडेय उवाच । शृणु राजन्प्रवक्ष्यामि प्रोक्तं सर्वमिदं जगत् । ब्रह्माविष्णुस्तथेशानो देवता प्रभुरव्ययः
mārkaṃḍeya uvāca | śṛṇu rājanpravakṣyāmi proktaṃ sarvamidaṃ jagat | brahmāviṣṇustatheśāno devatā prabhuravyayaḥ
মার্কণ্ডেয় বললেন—হে রাজন, শোনো; আমি বলছি, যেমন বলা হয়েছে তেমনই এই সমগ্র জগৎ—ব্রহ্মা, বিষ্ণু এবং ঈশান (শিব) সেই দেবতা, যিনি প্রভু ও অব্যয়।
