छायासंज्ञा त्वपत्येषु यथा स्वेष्वतिवत्सला ।
तथा न संज्ञाकन्यायां पुत्रयोश्चान्ववर्तत ॥
chāyāsaṃjñā tv apatyeṣu yathā sveṣv ativatsalā /
tathā na saṃjñākanyāyāṃ putrayoś cānvavartata
ছায়া—যদিও সংজ্ঞা নামে পরিচিতা—নিজ সন্তানদের প্রতি অতিশয় স্নেহশীলা ছিল; কিন্তু সংজ্ঞার কন্যা ও জ্যেষ্ঠ পুত্রদের প্রতি তেমন স্নেহ দেখাত না।
