Adhyaya 71 — The King’s Remorse and the Sage’s Counsel on the Necessity of a Wife
ब्राह्मण्याः दर्शनञ्चैव दौःशील्यापगमं तथा ।
प्रेषणं भर्तृगेहे च कार्यमागमने च यत् ॥
brāhmaṇyā darśanañ caiva dauḥśīlyāpagamaṃ tathā / preṣaṇaṃ bhartṛgehe ca kāryam āgamane ca yat
(তিনি বললেন) ব্রাহ্মণী নারীর দর্শন, অপবাদ-কলঙ্ক দূর করা, তাকে স্বামীর গৃহে পাঠানো, এবং কোনো কাজ থাকলে রাক্ষসের আগমন সম্পর্কে যা স্থির হয়েছিল—সবই।
Dharma decisions require full context: the king presents all relevant particulars—harm, remedy, and ongoing obligations—so that the sage can prescribe a complete rectification.
