मार्कण्डेय उवाच स एवम् चिन्तयन् विप्रो बभ्राम च हिमाचले ।
भ्रष्टपादौषधिबलो वैक्लवं परमं गतः ॥
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca sa evaṃ cintayan vipro babhrāma ca himācale | bhraṣṭapādauṣadhibalo vaiklavaṃ paramaṃ gataḥ ||
মার্কণ্ডেয় বললেন: এভাবে চিন্তা করতে করতে সেই ব্রাহ্মণ হিমালয় পর্বতে ঘুরে বেড়াল; পাদ-ঔষধির বল হারিয়ে সে চরম অসহায়তায় পতিত হল।
