तत्र पादे समाख्यातं पाकाय मुनिसत्तम ।
देशेष्वेतेषु चैतानि नक्षत्राण्यपि वै द्विज ॥

হে মুনিশ্রেষ্ঠ! সেই পাদে ‘পাক’ (ফলনির্ণয়/পূর্বলক্ষণ) উপলক্ষে ব্যাখ্যা করা হয়েছে। আর হে দ্বিজ! এই অঞ্চলগুলিতে সত্যই এই নক্ষত্রগুলিই কার্যকর বলে বুঝতে হবে।
