गोस्मूहैस्तथा घोषो यत्रेच्छाभूमिकेतनः ॥

śakaṭārūḍhabhāṇḍaiś ca gopālair vipaṇaṃ vinā / gosamūhais tathā ghoṣo yatreच्छābhūmiketanaḥ

Translation

যেখানে গোপালরা গাড়িতে মাল বোঝাই করে এবং গবাদিপশুর পালসহ বাস করে, কিন্তু সেখানে হাট-বাজার নেই—সে স্থানকে ‘ঘোষ’ বলা হয়; ইচ্ছামতো প্রাপ্ত ভূমিতে গড়া এক পশুপালক শিবির।
