Adhyaya 48 — The Emanation of Beings from Brahma: Night, Day, Twilight, and the Orders of Creation
जज्ञिरे पिबतो वाचं गन्धर्वास्तेन ते स्मृताः ।
अष्टास्वेतासु सृष्टासु देवयोनिषु स प्रभुः ॥
jajñire pibato vācaṃ gandharvās tena te smṛtāḥ | aṣṭāsv etāsu sṛṣṭāsu devayoniṣu sa prabhuḥ ||
তিনি যেন বাক্যকে ‘পান’ করলেন—তখনই তারা জন্মিল; তাই তারা ‘গন্ধর্ব’ নামে স্মৃত। এই আটটি দিব্য যোনি (বর্গ) সৃষ্টি হলে, ভগবান যথাক্রমে অগ্রসর হলেন।
