Adhyaya 47 — Brahma’s Awakening and the Ninefold Scheme of Creation
बहिरन्तश्चाप्रकाशः संवृतात्मा नगात्मकः ।
मुख्या नगा यतश्चोक्ता मुख्यसर्गस्ततस्त्वयम् ॥
bahirantaś cāprakāśaḥ saṃvṛtātmā nagātmakaḥ /
mukhyā nagā yataś coktā mukhyasargas tatas tv ayam
বাহিরে ও অন্তরে আলোকহীন, আত্মা আচ্ছাদিত—এই সৃষ্টি ছিল স্থাবর-স্বভাবের; একে ‘নাগ’ (অচল/উদ্ভিদজাত সত্তা) বলা হয়। আর যেহেতু এই ‘নাগ’দের ‘মুখ্য’ বলা হয়, তাই একে ‘মুখ্যসর্গ’ (প্রাথমিক সৃষ্টি) বলা হয়।
