Adhyaya 34 — Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)
उपरागे परं स्नानमृते दिनमुदाहृतम् ।
अपमृज्यान्न चास्नातो गात्राण्यंबरपाणिभिः ॥
uparāge paraṃ snānam ṛte dinam udāhṛtam | apamṛjyān na cāsnāto gātrāṇy ambarapāṇibhiḥ ||
উপরাগ (গ্রহণ) কালে স্নান সর্বোচ্চ পুণ্য বলে ঘোষিত, তবে নিষিদ্ধ দিনে (শাস্ত্রবিধি অনুযায়ী) তা বর্জনীয়। স্নান করে শরীর মুছবে; যে স্নান করেনি সে কাপড় ও হাতে অঙ্গ মুছবে না।
