कृतयुगवर्णनम् तथा राजधर्मोपदेशः

मलयं चापि पश्यामि पारियात्र च पर्वतम् | एते चान्ये च बहवो यावन्त: पृथिवीधरा:
malayaṃ cāpi paśyāmi pāriyātraṃ ca parvatam | ete cānye ca bahavo yāvantaḥ pṛthivīdharāḥ ||
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—আমি মালয় পর্বতমালা ও পারিয়াত্র পর্বতও দেখলাম; আর এদের ছাড়াও পৃথিবীকে ধারণকারী অসংখ্য পর্বত। সেই মহাত্মা শিশুর উদরের মধ্যে বিচরণ করতে করতে আমার দৃষ্টিতে হিমবান, হেমকূট, নিষধ, রজতযুক্ত শ্বেতগিরি, গন্ধমাদন, মন্দরাচল, মহাগিরি নীল, সুবর্ণময় মেরু, মহেন্দ্র, উত্তম বিন্ধ্য, মালয় ও পারিয়াত্র—এই সব পর্বত উদ্ভাসিত হল। সকলেই নানা রত্নে অলংকৃত ছিল।
