कण्वोपदेशः—नश्वरबलविवेकः तथा मातलिगुणकेश्याः आख्यानारम्भः
Kaṇva’s Counsel on Impermanent Power; Opening of the Mātali–Guṇakeśī Narrative
अभिगम्योपसंगृहा[ पर्यपृच्छटदनामयम् । तमर्चित्वा मूलफलैरासनेनोदकेन च
abhigamyopasaṅgṛhya paryapṛcchat tad-anāmayam | tam arcitvā mūla-phalair āsanenodakena ca ||
নিকটে গিয়ে তাদের চরণে প্রণাম করে তিনি কুশল জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন। তখন নর-নারায়ণ মূল-ফল, আসন ও জল দিয়ে রাজাকে যথোচিত আতিথ্য করলেন এবং আহারের জন্য আহ্বান জানালেন। পরে প্রসন্ন হয়ে বললেন—“রাজোত্তম, আপনার কী প্রয়োজন?” তা শুনে রাজেন্দ্র আবারও যথাযথভাবে নিজের সমস্ত বৃত্তান্ত বললেন।
