अपि वाचं भाषमाणस्य काव्यां धर्मासमामर्थवतीमहिंस्राम् । अवेक्षेरन् धार्तराष्ट्रा: शमार्थ मां च प्राप्त कुरव: पूजयेयु:
api vācaṃ bhāṣamāṇasya kāvyāṃ dharmasamām arthavatīm ahiṃsrām | avekṣeran dhārtarāṣṭrāḥ śamārthaṃ māṃ ca prāptaṃ kuravaḥ pūjayeyuḥ ||
শান্তির জন্য আমি কবিদের মতো সুগঠিত, ধর্মের সঙ্গে সঙ্গত, অর্থবহ ও অহিংস বাক্য উচ্চারণ করব। যদি ধৃতরাষ্ট্রের পুত্রেরা আমার কথায় মন দেয়, তবে তারা তা মানবে; আর কুরুরাও বুঝে যে আমি শান্তি স্থাপনের জন্যই এসেছি, আমাকে সম্মান করবে।
