अहापयन् पाण्डवार्थ यथाव- च्छमं कुरूणां यदि चाचरेयम् | पुण्यं च मे स्थाच्चरितं महात्मन् मुच्येरंश्न कुरवो मृत्युपाशात्
apāyan pāṇḍavārthaṃ yathāvacchamaṃ kurūṇāṃ yadi cācareyam | puṇyaṃ ca me syāc caritaṃ mahātman mucyeran kuravo mṛtyupāśāt ||
হে মহাত্মন! যদি আমি পাণ্ডবদের ন্যায্য স্বার্থে বাধা না দিয়ে কুরু ও পাণ্ডবদের মধ্যে যথোচিত সন্ধি স্থাপন করতে পারি, তবে আমার এই আচরণ মহাপুণ্যকর্ম হবে; আর কুরুরাও মৃত্যুর পাশ থেকে মুক্ত হবে।
