यत्‌ त्वमेवंगते ब्रूया: पश्चिमे वयसि स्थित: । शास्त्राद्‌ वा सुप्रतर्काद्‌ वा सुस्थिर: स्थविरो हासि

Transliteration

yat tvam evaṃgate brūyāḥ paścime vayasi sthitaḥ | śāstrād vā supratarkād vā susthiraḥ sthaviro hāsi ||

Translation

আপনি এখন জীবনের শেষ পর্যায়ে—বার্ধক্যে—অবস্থিত। এই অবস্থায় আপনি যা বলেন, তা শাস্ত্রসম্মতও বটে এবং স্পষ্ট লোকতর্কেও যথার্থ। আপনার বিচারবুদ্ধির এই স্থিরতাই আপনাকে প্রকৃত অর্থে ‘স্থবির’—সত্যিকারের প্রবীণ—করে তোলে।
