शमश्न नन्दिवेगानामित्येते कुलपांसना: । युगान्ते कृष्ण सम्भूता: कुले कुपुरुषाधमा:
śamaśna nandivegānām ity ete kulapāṃsanāḥ | yugānte kṛṣṇa-sambhūtāḥ kule kupuruṣādhamāḥ ||
ভীম বললেন—নন্দিবেগ বংশের শমশ্ন এবং তারই মতো অন্যেরা—এরা নিজেদের কুলের ছাই ও কলঙ্ক। যুগান্তে, যখন ধর্মের বিপ্লব ঘটে, তখন যেমন দীপ্তিমান ও সমৃদ্ধ অসুরদের মধ্যে ভয়ংকর কলহ উঠেছিল, তেমনি অন্ধকার থেকে জন্মেছে যেন এমন নীচ ক্ষত্রিয়রা নানা রাজবংশে আবির্ভূত হয় এবং অবক্ষয় ও অন্তর্দ্বন্দ্বের কারণ হয়ে দাঁড়ায়।
