एतामवस्थां प्राप्यैके मरणं वव्रिरे जना: । ग्रामायैके वनायैके नाशायैके प्रवव्रजु:
etām avasthāṁ prāpyaike maraṇaṁ vavrirē janāḥ | grāmāyaike vanāyaike nāśāyaike pravavrajuḥ ||
এমন দারিদ্র্যে পতিত হয়ে অনেকেই মৃত্যুকে বেছে নিয়েছে। কেউ গ্রাম ছেড়ে অন্য গ্রামে গিয়ে বসেছে; কেউ বনবাসে গেছে; আর কেউ সর্বনাশের পথ ধরতে ঘর ছেড়ে বেরিয়ে পড়েছে—যেন প্রাণ ত্যাগ করতেই চলেছে।
