Dvārakāyāṃ Sāhāyya-vibhāgaḥ (Alliance Allocation at Dvārakā) / उद्योगपर्व अध्याय ७
दुर्योधनस्तु तत् सैन्यं सर्वमावरयत् तदा । सहस्राणां सहस्र॑ तु योधानां प्राप्प भारत
duryodhanas tu tat sainyaṁ sarvam āvarayat tadā | sahasrāṇāṁ sahasraṁ tu yodhānāṁ prāpya bhārata janamejaya |
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—তখন দুর্যোধন সেই সমগ্র সেনাবাহিনী নিজের অধীনে আনল। হে ভারত, হে জনমেজয়! সহস্র সহস্র যোদ্ধা লাভ করে এবং মনে করে যে কৃষ্ণকে সে বোকা বানিয়েছে, সে পরম আনন্দে উল্লসিত হল। তার যুদ্ধবল ভয়ংকর হয়ে উঠল; ধর্মের আশ্রয়ে নয়, কেবল বাহিনী-সঞ্চয়ের দম্ভে সে নিজের পক্ষকে দৃঢ় করল।
