सद् वासद् वा परीवादो ब्राह्मणस्य न शस्यते । नरकप्रतिष्ठास्ते वै स्युर्य एवं कुर्वते जना:
sad vā asad vā parīvādo brāhmaṇasya na śasyate | naraka-pratiṣṭhās te vai syur ye evaṁ kurvate janāḥ ||
সত্য হোক বা মিথ্যা—অপরের নিন্দা ব্রাহ্মণের শোভা নয়। যারা দোষখোঁজা ও পরনিন্দায় রত থাকে, তারা অবশ্যম্ভাবীভাবে নরকপথে নিজেকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করে।
