उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय 33: धृतराष्ट्र-विदुर संवादः (विदुरनीतिः)
राजा लक्षणसम्पन्नस्त्रैलोक्यस्यापि यो भवेत् | शिष्यस्ते शासिता सोडस्तु धृतराष्ट्र युधिष्ठिर:
rājā lakṣaṇasampannastrailokyasyāpi yo bhavet | śiṣyaste śāsitā soḍastu dhṛtarāṣṭra yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
বিদুর বললেন— হে ধৃতরাষ্ট্র! কোনো রাজা যদি সকল রাজলক্ষণে সম্পন্ন হয়ে ত্রিলোকেরও অধিপতি হন, তবু তাঁর শাসন-শৃঙ্খলা গ্রহণ করা উচিত। যুধিষ্ঠির তোমার শিষ্য—সে উপদেশে চলে, শাসনে নিয়ন্ত্রিত হয়; অতএব মোহ ত্যাগ করে পরামর্শমতে রাজ্য পরিচালনা করো।
