उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय 33: धृतराष्ट्र-विदुर संवादः (विदुरनीतिः)
अभ्यावहति कल्याणं विविधं वाक् सुभाषिता | सैव दुर्भाषिता राजन्ननर्थायोपपद्यते
abhyāvahati kalyāṇaṃ vividhaṃ vāk subhāṣitā | saiva durbhāṣitā rājann anarthāyopapadyate ||
হে রাজন! সুভাষিত বাক্য নানা প্রকার কল্যাণ আনে; কিন্তু সেই একই কথা যদি কটু ও অসংযত ভাষায় বলা হয়, তবে তা মহা অনর্থের কারণ হয়ে দাঁড়ায়।
