अध्याय २९ — वासुदेव–संजय संवादः
Karma, Varṇa-Dharma, and the Ethics of Governance
ये चैवान्ये कुरुमुख्या युवान: पुत्रा: पौत्रा भ्रातरश्वैव ये नः । यं यमेषां मन्यसे येन योग्यं तत् तत् प्रोच्यानामयं सूत वाच्या:
ye caivānye kurumukhyā yuvānaḥ putrāḥ pautrā bhrātaraś caiva ye naḥ | yaṃ yam eṣāṃ manyase yena yogyaṃ tat tat procya nāmayaṃ sūta vācyāḥ ||
যুধিষ্ঠির বললেন—হে সঞ্জয়! এদের ছাড়াও কুরুবংশের যে অন্যান্য প্রধান যুবকরা আছে—যারা আমাদের পুত্র, পৌত্র ও ভ্রাতৃসম—তাদের মধ্যে যাকে যেমন সম্বোধন করা উচিত বলে তুমি মনে কর, তাকে তেমনই বলে কথা বলো। হে সূত! সকলকে জানিয়ে দিও—পাণ্ডবরা সুস্থ ও আনন্দিত।
