सर्वे निवारयामासुर्देवापेरभिषेचनम् । उन्होंने देवापिके मंगलके लिये सभी आवश्यक कृत्य सम्पन्न कराये; परंतु उस समय सब ब्राह्मणों तथा वृद्ध पुरुषोंने नगर और जनपदके लोगोंके साथ आकर देवापिका राज्याभिषेक रोक दिया

তখন সকলেই একযোগে উঠে দেবাপির রাজ্যাভিষেক রোধ করল। দেবাপির মঙ্গলার্থে প্রয়োজনীয় সকল শুভকর্ম সম্পন্ন হয়েছিল; কিন্তু সেই সময় ব্রাহ্মণগণ ও বৃদ্ধ পুরুষেরা নগর ও জনপদের লোকদের সঙ্গে এসে রাজ্যাভিষেক থামিয়ে দিল।
