देवापिस्तु महातेजास्त्वग्दोषी राजसत्तम: । धार्मिक: सत्यवादी च पितु: शुश्रूषणे रत:
devāpis tu mahātejāstvagdoṣī rājasattamaḥ | dhārmikaḥ satyavādī ca pituḥ śuśrūṣaṇe rataḥ ||
বায়ু বললেন—দেবাপি মহাতেজস্বী ও রাজাদের মধ্যে শ্রেষ্ঠ ছিলেন, কিন্তু তিনি চর্মরোগে আক্রান্ত ছিলেন। তবু তিনি ধর্মপরায়ণ, সত্যবাদী এবং পিতৃসেবায় নিবিষ্ট ছিলেন—দেহ রোগে ভারাক্রান্ত হলেও নৈতিক মহিমা ও পিতৃভক্তির দীপ্তি যে ম্লান হয় না, তা তিনি প্রমাণ করলেন।
