इत्युक्त: प्राञ्जलिर्भूत्वा दु:खितो भृशमातुर: । तेभ्यो न्यवेदयं तत्र प्रतिज्ञां पितृगौरवात्
ity uktaḥ prāñjalir bhūtvā duḥkhito bhṛśam āturaḥ | tebhyo nyavedayaṃ tatra pratijñāṃ pitṛgauravāt ||
তাঁরা এ কথা বললে আমি গভীর শোক ও তীব্র ব্যাকুলতায় আচ্ছন্ন হলাম। তখন করজোড়ে দাঁড়িয়ে পিতৃগৌরবের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাবশত আমি তাদের কাছে আমার গ্রহণ করা প্রতিজ্ঞার কথা নিবেদন করলাম।
