भीष्मद्रोणयोर्दुर्योधनं प्रति शमोपदेशः | Bhīṣma and Droṇa’s Counsel of Conciliation to Duryodhana

पश्यतां कुरुवीराणां तच्च संस्मारये: पुनः । जुएके समय द्रौपदीको जो सभामें जाना पड़ा और कौरव वीरोंके सामने ही दुर्योधन और दु:शासनने जो उसे गालियाँ दीं

paśyatāṃ kuru-vīrāṇāṃ tac ca saṃsmārayeyaḥ punaḥ | yatraika-samaye draupadī sabhāṃ gantum avāryatā, tatra kaurava-vīrāṇāṃ samakṣaṃ duryodhana-duḥśāsanābhyāṃ yā nindā-kṣepā uktāḥ, tad bhīmasenārjunayor eva tiraskāraḥ | ahaṃ punaḥ tasyāḥ smṛtiṃ teṣāṃ prati nidadhāmi ||

কুরুবীরদের চোখের সামনেই আমি তোমাদের সেই ঘটনাটি আবার স্মরণ করিয়ে দিচ্ছি। এক সময় দ্রৌপদীকে বাধ্য হয়ে রাজসভায় যেতে হয়েছিল, আর সেই কৌরব যোদ্ধাদের সামনেই দুর্যোধন ও দুঃশাসন তাকে অপমানজনক বাক্যে গালিগালাজ করেছিল। সেই অত্যাচার আসলে ভীমসেন ও অর্জুনেরও অবমাননা। তাই আমি সেই স্মৃতি পুনরায় জাগিয়ে তুলছি।
