अलातं तिन्दुकस्येव मुहूर्तमपि विज्वल । मा तुषाग्निरिवानर्चिर्धूमायस्व जिजीविषु:

Transliteration

alātaṁ tindukasyeva muhūrtam api vijvala | mā tuṣāgnir ivānarcir dhūmāy asva jijīviṣuḥ ||

Translation

তিন্দুক-কাঠের জ্বলন্ত অঙ্গারের মতো, ক্ষণমাত্র হলেও, জ্বলে ওঠ—শত্রুর সামনে সিদ্ধান্তমূলক বীরত্ব দেখাও। কিন্তু বাঁচার লোভে খড়কুটোর নিঃশিখা আগুনের মতো শুধু ধোঁয়া তুলো না; ভীরু ও নিষ্ফল চেষ্টা কোরো না।
