ब्राह्मण: प्रचरेद् भैक्षे क्षत्रिय: परिपालयेत् । वैश्यो धनार्जन कुर्याच्छूद्र: परिचरेच्च तान्
brāhmaṇaḥ pracared bhaikṣe kṣatriyaḥ paripālayet | vaiśyo dhanārjanaṁ kuryāc chūdraḥ paricarec ca tān ||
ব্রাহ্মণ ভিক্ষাবৃত্তিতে জীবিকা নির্বাহ করুক, ক্ষত্রিয় প্রজাকে রক্ষা করুক, বৈশ্য ধনোপার্জন করুক, আর শূদ্র সেই তিন বর্ণের সেবা করুক।
