Duryodhana’s Reply in the Kuru Assembly
कृतास्त्रै: क्षिप्रमस्यद्धिर्दूरपातिभिरायसा: । अभिल क्ष्यै्निपात्यन्ते तावच्छाम्यतु वैशसम्
Vaiśampāyana uvāca — kṛtāstraiḥ kṣipram asyaddhir dūrapātibhir āyasāḥ | abhilakṣyai nipātyante tāvac chāmyatu vaiśasam ||
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন— অস্ত্রবিদ্যায় সিদ্ধ যোদ্ধাদের দ্রুত নিক্ষিপ্ত, দূরগামী লৌহশর যতক্ষণ লক্ষ্যভেদ করে পতিত হতে শুরু না করে, ততক্ষণ এই হিংস্র উদ্যোগ সংযত থাকুক। দক্ষ ধনুর্ধররা চোখের সামনে আসামাত্র মানুষকে ফেলে দিতে শুরু না করা পর্যন্ত যুদ্ধের চিন্তা ত্যাগ করাই সমীচীন।
