ददात्यस्मद्विधो<मात्यो बुद्धिसाहाय्यमापदि । वायसस्त्वेष मे राजन् ननु कार्याभिसंहित:
dadāty asmad-vidho ’mātyo buddhi-sāhāyyam āpadi | vāyasas tv eṣa me rājan nanu kāryābhisaṁhitaḥ ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—আমার মতো মন্ত্রী বিপদের সময় বুদ্ধি ও পরামর্শ দিয়ে সহায়তা করে। হে রাজন, আমার এই কাকটিও নিশ্চয়ই তোমার কাজ সাধনে নিয়োজিত ছিল; কিন্তু সে নিহত হয়েছে—সম্ভবত আমারও তেমনই পরিণতি হতে পারে।
