इति राजन् यम: प्राह वर्तते च तथैव तत् । अथ भूयांसमेवार्थ करिष्यामि पुन: पुन:,राजन्! यमराजने जो यह बात कही है, वह ज्यों-की-त्यों ठीक है; फिर भी मैं तो बारंबार आपके महान् अर्थका साधन करूँगा ही
iti rājan yamaḥ prāha vartate ca tathaiva tat | atha bhūyāṁsam evārthaṁ kariṣyāmi punaḥ punaḥ, rājan ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—হে রাজন, যম যেমন বলেছিলেন, সত্যও তেমনই স্থিত। তবু তোমার বৃহত্তর মঙ্গল ও স্পষ্ট বোধের জন্য আমি সেই বিষয়টি বারবার বিস্তারে বলব।
