न किंचिदपि पश्यामो हतचक्षुर्बलेन्द्रिया: । “भगवान्के उस अनिर्वचनीय तेजने हमारे चित्तको सहसा खींच लिया था; परंतु हमारे नेत्र
na kiñcid api paśyāmo hata-cakṣur balendriyāḥ |
ভীষ্ম বললেন—আমরা কিছুই দেখতে পাচ্ছিলাম না। আমাদের চোখ যেন আঘাতে অন্ধ হয়ে গিয়েছিল; শক্তি ও ইন্দ্রিয়সমূহও অভিভূত ছিল। সেই ভগবানের অনির্বচনীয় তেজ আমাদের চিত্তকে হঠাৎ নিজের দিকে টেনে নিয়েছিল; কিন্তু চোখ, বল ও ইন্দ্রিয় প্রতিহত হওয়ায় আমরা স্পষ্ট করে কিছুই উপলব্ধি করতে পারিনি।
