Draupadī’s Exhortation on Rājadharma and Daṇḍa (द्रौपद्याः राजधर्मोपदेशः)
द्रौपहुवाच इमे ते भ्रातर: पार्थ शुष्यन्ते स््तोकका इव । वावाश्यमानास्तिष्ठन्ति न चैनानभिनन्दसे,कुन्तीकुमार! आपके ये भाई आपका संकल्प सुनकर सूख गये हैं; पपीहोंके समान आपसे राज्य करनेकी रट लगा रहे हैं; फिर भी आप इनका अभिनन्दन नहीं करते? ।।
Draupadī uvāca: ime te bhrātaraḥ Pārtha śuṣyante stokakā iva | vāvāśyamānās tiṣṭhanti na cainān abhinandase, Kuntīkumarā ||
দ্রৌপদী বললেন—হে পার্থ! তোমার এই ভ্রাতারা ক্ষুদ্র জলাশয়ের মতো শুকিয়ে যাচ্ছে। পিপাসার্ত পাখির ন্যায় কাতর স্বরে ডেকে তোমার সামনে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে—রাজ্য গ্রহণ করো বলে; তবু তুমি তাদের অনুমোদনে অভিবাদন করছ না, হে কুন্তীপুত্র!
