सभा-पर्यवसान-प्रस्थानवचनम् | Counsel at the Point of Departure

बलवांश्व यथा धर्म लोके पश्यति पूरुष: । स धर्मों धर्मवेलायां भवत्यभिहत: पर:

Transliteration

balavāṁś ca yathā dharmaṁ loke paśyati pūruṣaḥ | sa dharmo dharmavelāyāṁ bhavaty abhihataḥ paraiḥ ||

Translation

ভীষ্ম বললেন—এই জগতে শক্তিমান পুরুষ যেমন করে ‘ধর্ম’কে দেখে, ধর্মের বিচারক্ষণ এলে সেই ধর্মই অন্যদের দ্বারা আঘাতপ্রাপ্ত হয়ে পরাভূত হয়।
