Bhīṣma–Śiśupāla-saṃvādaḥ
Bhishma and Shishupala’s exchange in the assembly
भुक्तमेतेन बद्धन्नं क्रीडता नगमूर्थनि । इति ते भीष्म शृण्वाना: परे विस्मयमागता:,भीष्म! कृष्णने गोवर्धनपर्वतके शिखरपर खेलते हुए अकेले ही बहुत-सा अन्न खा लिया, यह बात भी तुम्हारे मुँहले सुनकर दूसरे लोगोंको ही आश्चर्य हुआ होगा (मुझे नहीं)
bhuktam etena baddhānnaṁ krīḍatā nagamūrdhani | iti te bhīṣma śṛṇvānāḥ pare vismayam āgatāḥ ||
ভীষ্ম! ‘পর্বতশিখরে খেলতে খেলতে সে একাই অনেক রান্না করা অন্ন খেয়ে ফেলেছে’—তোমার মুখে এ কথা শুনে অন্যরাই বিস্মিত হয়েছে; আমি নই।
