संजय उवाच तस्मिन्नतिरथे द्रोणे निहते पार्षतेन वै कौरवेषु च भग्नेषु कुन्तीपुत्रो धनंजय:
sañjaya uvāca | tasminn atirathe droṇe nihate pārṣatena vai kauraveṣu ca bhagneṣu kuntīputro dhanañjayaḥ |
সঞ্জয় বললেন—হে ভরতশ্রেষ্ঠ! পার্ষত (ধৃষ্টদ্যুম্ন) কর্তৃক অতিরথ দ্রোণ নিহত হলে এবং কৌরবসেনা ভেঙে পলায়ন করলে, কুন্তীপুত্র ধনঞ্জয় (অর্জুন) বিজয়দায়ক এক আশ্চর্য ঘটনা দেখে, হঠাৎ সেখানে উপস্থিত মহর্ষি ব্যাসকে সে বিষয়ে জিজ্ঞাসা করল।
