महत् पूर्व स्थितो यच्च प्राणोत्पत्तिस्थितश्न यत् । स्थितलिडज्ञश्न यन्नित्यं तस्मात् स्थाणुरिति स्मृत:
Translation
ব্যাস বললেন—যিনি আদিকাল থেকেই মহৎ রূপে প্রতিষ্ঠিত, প্রাণের উৎপত্তি ও স্থিতির কারণ, এবং যাঁর লিঙ্গময় দেহ নিত্য অচল—তাই তিনি ‘স্থাণু’ নামে স্মৃত।
