Adhyāya 74 (Book 6, Bhīṣma-parva): Bhīma–Duryodhana re-engagement and afternoon escalation
भीष्ममेवा भ्यलीयन्त सह सर्वैस्तवात्मजै: | तेषामार्तायनमभूद् भीष्म: शान्तनवो रणे
sañjaya uvāca | bhīṣmam evābhyalīyanta saha sarvais tavātmajaiḥ | teṣām ārtāyanam abhūd bhīṣmaḥ śāntanavo raṇe ||
সঞ্জয় বললেন—তখন আপনার সকল পুত্রসহ সবাই ভীষ্মের কাছেই গিয়ে আশ্রয় নিল। রণক্ষেত্রে শান্তনুনন্দন ভীষ্মই সেই বিপন্ন যোদ্ধাদের জন্য আশ্রয় ও নিরাপত্তার স্থান হয়ে উঠলেন।
